This virtual workshop is offered in 2 sections: Either you can attend every Monday in December from 9-9pm PST or every Wednesday in December from 8-9pm. Each session of this workshop will include a 10-minute guided meditation, an optional writing prompt, a brief supportive/ inspirational reading and an opportunity to discuss (or not) what you need each week to feel supported and grounded as you move through the holiday season, work, family commitments, and life-at-large.
This month’s Expansive Heart Mom Support Group theme is: SELF LOVE. I will lead us in a guided meditation that focuses on positive self-talk, followed by a guided writing prompt, where you will be encouraged to think and write about the invisible labor that you do on a daily basis. In the group, you will be acknowledged for this labor and anything else for which you want/ need recognition. This is a safe space to receive the accolades that you deserve, simply by being YOU. Finally, we will be joined by Siobhanierose_esthetics, who will show us some easy and relaxing facial gua-sha tricks that you can incorporate into your daily/ nightly self-care routine, aiding in a deeper night’s sleep and better blood circulation in your gorgeous face.
January’s workshop was a HIT! Let’s come back and pick up where we left off. Didn’t attend January’s workshop? NO PROBLEM! We will begin the workshop with a short but powerful guided meditation. People who attended January’s session are welcome to share about the goals they set and where they are in reaching said goals. Bring a journal and a pen; We will be doing some writing prompts to get clarity and inspiration. Do you have creative dreams that have fallen to the wayside because your primary job takes all of your energy? Do you want to tap into some JOY and INSPIRATION in your life? If you answered YES to any or all of these questions, this support group is for you! Everyone will leave with at least one creative goal that will carry you into 2022. This is an ongoing support group and will meet monthly.
Pregnancy loss is more common than we, as a society would like to admit. Pregnancy loss is not limited to miscarriage. There are many different ways that we can experience “loss,” and in this workshop, everyone who has experienced a loss, are welcome. Those of us who have experienced the loss of a pregnancy tend to struggle with feelings of intense sadness, shame, and an overwhelming sense of isolation. For many of us, our mourning process is done in secrecy, as if our loss is something to be ashamed of, as if our loss is a predictor of who we are or what we are capable of as people and/or as mothers. Every story of loss is different, and yet the feelings associated with loss are very similar. This workshop will provide a space for anyone who has experienced pregnancy loss to come and share your experience, your grief, and perhaps your hope, with a group of trusted people who have experienced a loss of their own. We don’t have to do anything alone, including grieving something that is so common and yet, so forbidden to discuss openly in our culture. Wherever you are in your grieving process, you are welcome. You are not alone.
Are you an educator? Are you experiencing indescribable overwhelm? Are you feeling unsure about how to show up for your students when you are struggling yourself? Are you questioning whether teaching is the right profession for you? Do you have creative dreams that have fallen to the wayside because your primary job takes all of your energy? Do you want to tap into some JOY and INSPIRATION before going back to work in January? If you answered YES to any or all of these questions, this support group is for you! I will lead the group through a brief, guided meditation followed by a few creative writing prompts. Everyone will leave with at least one creative goal that will carry you into the new year and semester. This is an ongoing support group and will meet monthly.

Sign up by emailing: expansiveheartcoaching@gmail.com to reserve your spot! Looking forward to seeing you!
As an athletic coach, I cannot tell you how many times I have heard clients claim, “I am not a runner,” or, “I am not athletic,” as they hop on the treadmill and run or walk 3+ miles. The stories we tell ourselves about ourselves have the power to serve as our greatest challenge or our greatest panacea in the face of self doubt. As someone who identifies as a Writer (capital W, thank you very much), but who also has a tendency to prioritize ALL THINGS before writing—because students need to be taught, emails need to be answered, dogs need to be walked and fed, child needs to be fed and engaged with safe, outdoor activities, family members need to be checked in upon…etc. etc. etc—I am aware of the energy it takes to simply commit to writing. It’s a one day—sometimes one hour— at a time kinda thing.
This workshop is limited to 6 people. I will offer prompts, should you choose to use them. If you are working on something in progress, feel free not to use the prompts and dive into your creative project. There will be time to share what you are working on either for feedback or no feedback.
Email me: expansiveheartcoach@gmail.com to sign up.
There is a suggested $20 donation, but no one will be denied for lack of funds.
With a background in education and as a self-identified writer, I know intimately the power of putting pen to paper. These workshops are designed to invite you to explore your subconscious via writing prompts in a quiet, uninterrupted meditative space.
